Competitive Advantage: The Consortium Undergraduate Program depends on the support of valued corporate partners who are seeking an opportunity to engage with this population of talented, diverse undergraduates in order to fill internship opportunities and entry-level career positions.
It is designed to benefit both the students who attend as well as the companies that participate. Students become better prepared for careers or better positioned for graduate school while companies gain exposure to some of the best and brightest young people from underrepresented minority groups, who are currently attending universities that are aligned with The Consortium.
Program Overview: A natural extension of The Consortium’s ongoing efforts
Competitive Advantage is a career and graduate-school readiness program targeting undergraduates from historically underrepresented minority groups — African Americans, Hispanic Americans and Native Americans. With specialized programming segmented for college sophomores, juniors and seniors, we provide tools, training, experiential learning opportunities and networking designed to prepare students to enter careers or to position themselves for graduate school.
The Competitive Advantage program is a product of The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management, which has worked for more than a half-century to increase diversity in business education and corporate leadership. While The Consortium focuses on the MBA in business school, the undergraduate program is open to students in any academic discipline.
Key to the entire program is a one-day conference. This year’s event takes place on Sept. 9, 2022.
